traffic generation

Today, I am going to cut to the chase. We are going to talk about traffic generation. I’m going to go over how you can get more than 104 unique visitors a day to your blog in the next 29 days.

So, here goes:

I’ve worked with this process many times over the last couple years, tested it with over 200 clients in a variety of niches, and 100% of them that followed this program to the letter, received over 104 visitors in their first 29 days. About 50% of them actually followed the program. EVERY SINGLE TIME, I and my test subjects got over 104 unique visitors to their blog by the 29th day.

The average time commitment for this is about 5 – 8 hours/week. Schedule it out, it makes a difference.

To make this work, you really need to have or get a dedicated blog. Not a free blog account from blogger.com or wordpress.com, but a hosted site with WordPress installed.

If you do not know how to install WordPress on your host, you can go to http://codex.wordpress.org. This is the knowledge base for WordPress.

Today, in this unique opportunity, I am going to share with you the steps in the first phase of my book, “Getting Traffic To Come To You,” which will most likely generate for you over 104 visitors per day in about 29 days. There are two other phases. Phase Two can get you 255+ visitors a day. Phase Three can get you 500+ visitors a day, but you will have to get my book to access Phase II and III. This write up, however, will at least get you started.

Traffic Generation Tip- First of all, you need a lot of keyphrases!

You will need a minimum of 75 long-tail keyphrases to have enough for these steps. Long-tail keyphrases are keywords that have two to three or more words in the phrase.

This is to generate a substantial keyphrase list based on your website idea, product or service.

Go to SEOBook.com’s main site and register for a free account. http://www.seobook.com. Click on the gray login button in the top right corner of the site in order to register.

Once confirmed, go to the free KeyWord tool here: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/

Type in a general term that describes what your site is about. For example, if you were selling psychic medium readings, you could type in “psychic.” Only type in one word so you will get the largest number of choices in the next step.

Scroll down the list until you see a three-word keyword term that best describes what your site is about. In our example, a good one would be “online psychic readings.”

Click on that result in the SEO Book and save the list of keywords you find. If there aren’t 75 or more phrases, then go back and pick a secondary three word term and click on it and save until you have at least 75 long-tail keyphrases..

The first three-word keyword you opted for is the primary keyword. In the case of our example, it might be “online psychic readings.” ALL the others are secondary keywords.

Traffic Generation- You Need To Get A Real Web Hosting Account To Host Your Blog.

Get a website hosting company, if you don’t all ready have one. A host that has cPanel typically works best because it has a free license software package called Fantastico. It allows for automatic installation of WordPress. Recently, another package that also has WordPress is called Softaculous.

Traffic Generation Tip- Include Your Primary Keyword In The Url Of Your Domain.

Include your primary keyword in the URL of your site and install WordPress at the root of your site. In other words, make your blog your index page. So when you go to: www.yoursitename.com, your blog will be what your visitors see.

Once WordPress is installed, log in and install a theme. There are hundreds of free themes available right through your WordPress Dashboard. Click on Themes, then Install. You will see a blank search box…keep it blank and click on the search button.

Use your primary keyword as three of the four to five words that make up your blog’s title under Settings, then General Settings.

In our example, www.PsychicMediumReadings.com blog title is “Psychic Medium Readings”.

Traffic Generation Tip- Use Your Primary Keyword Toward The Beginning Of The Tagline Description Of Your Blog.

In General Settings, use your primary keyword towards the beginning of the Tagline description of your blog. In our example, we use “Psychic Medium Readings Online”.

Under the section “Posts,” create two categories, at most. Name one of them after your primary keyword. In this example, our primary keyword is “Psychic Medium Readings.”

The next step is to go back to the Settings section where you’ll see a link called “Permalinks.” In that section, change the option to custom structure, and in the space, type:

/%postname%/

Remember to save your changes.

Traffic Generation Tip- Write A 30 Part Series Using Your Keywords For Your Blog.

Take the longest keyword from your list of 75 that makes sense to use in a title, and write a 30-part series about it on your blog. For our example, we could use “Comparisons of Psychic Medium Tools.”

The above steps should take you about a day, if not, then your 29 days time frame starts below, once your first blog post is active on your blog.

For the first six weeks, be sure that a 200 word (minimum) post appears at least three times a week on your blog. I’d suggest writing the 30-part series in advance, breaking it apart and setting it up to auto-publish as a future post, if time allows. If not, then schedule 30 minutes to one hour per day to write in your blog.

Tag each post with 7 to 11 tags using a different keyword from your list of 75, which includes your primary keyword in each post until you run out, and then reuse the list. These will populate your tag cloud, so make sure your tag cloud widget is active in one of your sidebars.

Traffic Generation Tip- Submit Your RSS Feed To RSS Directories

Submit your RSS feed to eligible directories after the first 6 entries have been posted. You can do a search for “blog directories” or “RSS feed submission sites” or variations of these searches to find a substantial free list of them.

RSS feeds are sometimes automatically a part of your WordPress theme, depending on the theme you choose. If they are not, then you can set up your RSS feed at feedburner.com. They will give you instructions on how to set this up.

Traffic Generation Tip- Submit A Press Release About Your Blog Each Week.

Submit an article or press release about your blog each week. This can be a rewritten Private Label Rights (PLR) article on your topic, or ghostwritten. I never recommend using PLR unless you re-write it with more than 60% changes to it. If you have the funds, you can hire someone from elance.com or another similar site.

On the day it is published, save your best post in social bookmarking sites, like squidoo.com, del.icio.us, digg.com and loom.com each week. Use the search engines to find more social bookmarking sites.

Traffic Generation Tip- Find 10 New Blogs In Your Industry And Make Comments On Them Each Week

Find 10 new blogs in your industry to comment on each week – make sure at least 10 a week get accepted. This commenting will create inbound links, an important aspect of search engine optimization (SEO) and establishing higher Google rankings. Very important: Add value with your comments. DO NOT SPAM!

Rotate this cycle of activity every week and you should see about 104 unique visitors a day by about your 29th day!
