Internet Marketing & SEO A World Of Hurt

I have been running my web sites for five years now, and obviously I’d like to make a living at it. People have a bad habit to over simplify some of the techniques involved in the process of building traffic to your web site.

The first thing that most of the people will forget to tell you is that Google is constantly changing it’s a logarithm. This means that your work in never done as far as SEO. I consider link building to be the single most important factor of the process.

With link building comes challenges of it’s own. If your looking for good ranking on Google, and a boatload of traffic you will need to get some links from high pagerank web sites. High Google pagerank simply means that the Google search engine finds the content of the site to be
high quality.

Building pagrank from scratch is not an easy process, to this point in time I have not been able to achieve higher then a five in Google pagrank. To get this high was very hard, and then to wake up one morning and it’s all gone yes it has happened.

It would seem for no apparent reason, I woke up and checked the web sites to find that the ones that still had any Google pagrank left had very little. This is generally because of a logarithm change, and you will be starting all over again.

You should not build links just to get pagerank. Because it is so much work and time you should get some steady traffic from the links also. I usually look to get links from a high quality web site that features great content, and get’s updated all of the time.

It can take hour, days, week, months, and years to build the right amount of quality links to your web site. If somebody is telling you the SEO or web marketing are a quick and simple process, you should run away as fast as you can because they are about to run a scam more then likely.

Let’s move on to articles marketing. This is another process of marketing your web site on the internet. You better enjoy writing articles about your web site topics. I don’t mean one or two articles, over the past five or six years I have published over 1,000 articles.

The idea behind writing articles is a great one. There are a number of article engines out there, and they will be glad to take your articles and use them. The most valuable links are considered to be one way links.

In other words this is a link to your web site from another site on the web that you don’t have a return link for on your web site. Articles are a great way to build these one way links. What your hoping for when you submit articles to the article engines is that a lot of other web maters will use your articles on their web sites.

This creates one way links to your web site but you have no control over what web sites can use your articles. This means that it’s possible for you to get links from bad web sites. It doesn’t take a lot of links from bad web site to begin to beat your web site down.

It takes a lot of continuous work to build quality traffic to your web site, and to keep in coming after you have built it. There is nothing easy about it. It’s constant steady work there is no such a thing a autopilot.

As long as you have a web site you will be working it to build quality traffic. The very second that you stop you will start to lose the traffic that you spent all of that time to build. I’m constantly studying ways to build traffic, and all of the ones that work to build the traffic are a lot of work.

Conclusion: You should never believe anybody that is trying to sell you some web site autopilot B.S. Web sites are a lot of work to maintain and keep them working for you. Internet Marketing & SEO are not easy. You should not be fooled by anybody who says they are.
