Top 5 Internet Marketing Blog/Forum Posts Of The Week

This is the first in my new series highlighting what I consider to be the top 5 internet marketing related blog/forum posts of the week. I will scour the top blogs and IM forums looking for really good material and highlight it here. This should save you a bundle of time and hopefully should be interesting as well. Let me know what you think and if you have other suggestions and why.

1. Maxblogpress 3 Major Things That Helped Me Triple My List- Ok Maxblogpress is pitching his wordpress plugins. But their plugins are good. I plan on installing some of them here. But this post has some excellent free information. Your list is the best traffic source you have. The more quality subscribers you get the more money you make period. He covers the topics of guest blogging and even offers a free ebook on how to get the top blogs to accept your guest posts. (Update. I think they are out of business now. The plugins and software are no longer updated.)

He covers tweeking your blog and your squeeze page to maxiimize subscriptions with the traffic you already have. Very nice informative post with a free ebook on a highly relevant topic of guest blogging. I plan on downloading it and reading the whole thing.

2. Dania’s The Free Ad Forum Post “8 Tips On How To Promote Your Website For Free.”– This post is nowhere near as thick and elaborate as the Maxblogpress post but it is simple and covers the basics very sucintly. Beginners need to start with the basics and any professional in any discipline will tell you that mastering the basics is how you win. After we having retweeted our Diggs to our Facebook “friends” sometimes it is good to remember things like using plain old word of mouth to promote our business. 3. Adapting To Change By Yaro Starak– I can relate to this one. I have been working like crazy to completely update my badly outdated websites. The internet marketing game is changing rapidly and if you do not adapt you will die. In this post Yaro talks about the specific changes he is making to his business model to adapt to changes in his market. I do not agree with all of them but read the post here and let me know how you are changing with the times.

4. Keeping Track Of Your Traffic Sources“. Ok I am back with Maxblogpress again but I this one struck a chord with me. And again they are pitching the Maxblogpress Ninja plugin but I have it and it is excellent. This blog post talks about tracking traffic from posting comments on other blogs. I like to post comments on other blogs but I always wondered how much traffic those little links you put attached to your name give me. I have never tracked the results. I could have been doing it very easily with Ninja Affiliate but I never bothered. I will and will do a blog post about that in the future. 5. How To Create Your Own iphone App For Your Blog For Free By John Chow. Mobile is the future. More and more people are using their smart phones even more than their traditional computers. John Chow gives us a free way to get a mobile iPhone app for our blogs. Very cool and timely! Thank you John Chow! See here to read the post.
