Review: MaxBlogPress Subscribers Magnet WordPress Plugin

MaxBlogPress.com has created another excellent WordPress marketing plugin to help you increase your subscribers. I am using right here on this blog now and I love it!

MaxBlogPress Subscribers Magnet integrates seamlessly with most autoresponder companies such as Aweber, iContact, ConstantContact and Getresponse. Getting set up is relatively easy. You start by simply copy and pasting the autoresponder form code from your autoresponder system into MaxBlogPress. It automatically will detect the correct form fields so you do not have to worry about fooling with any code.

One nifty feature is the “Form Auto Filler.” This will automatically pick up the name and email from your visitors and place it into the sign up form. All they have to do is click submit. The more steps you take out of the subscription process the easier it gets to subscribe the more subscribers you get.

The next feature is the “Optin Form Adder.” This feature allows you to put a subscription form in your sidebar and/or below your posts. You can customize the form with your own html to make it look any way you wish.

The next feature is kind of sneaky. It is called “Subscribers from Comment.” If somebody leaves a comment on your blog there is a little checkbox that visitors must tick to say they would like to join your newsletter as well as comment. You can also choose just to show a regular form on the comment page as well.

The next feature is the “Popin” feature. This is basically a pop up. You can fade it in, change it to a light box which darkens the background. You can control the frequency and timing of the popup as well as the appearance. This feature is ok but I prefer to use the autoresponder pop up form or Pop Up Domination. Actually I have been experimenting with doing away with pop ups altogether. That is a whole separate debate.

The next feature is the “Footer Bar.” This allows you to create a bar along the footer of your blog with another subscription form. You can customize the looks as you wish. The bottom line Subscribers Magnet is giving you as many non-obtrusive ways to offer your visitors to join your newsletter as possible. You do not need to use all the options. I have chosen not to use the footer bar or the pop up. However, I love the other options. Use your own discretion.

I would rather have several opt in forms strategically placed on my blog giving people the obvious option to subscribe without jumping into their face about it.

If you used all the options you would have 17 different areas of your blog where people could subscribe. I suggest you experiment around and see what works for you. Email marketing is one of the most effective ways to build your business still. I highly recommend this plugin.
