Good News About How To Generate Leads

There are lots of ways to go about it. Some take time. Some take money. Others take both time and money.

I suggest you start with the free stuff and when you start making money, reinvest it into your business in this manner. 10% goes to education. Buy products, books and courses to further educate yourself on ways to better market yourself.

10% goes to tools. Keep buying the tools of the trade. Anything to free up your time and increase your productivity.

20% goes to advertising. Now that money is coming in use that money to advertise with. That way there are no out of pocket money being spent. That leaves 60% to do as you please.

Make sure the money you reinvest is making you money though so keep track of your advertising carefully. If it costs more to advertise than you are getting in return. Stop and reevaluate.

Here’s My List On How To Generate Leads

Advertise: Its is short term but the effects are immediate.

  • Advertise on free sites. Be careful to read the rules though or risk being banned.
  • Do PPC on Facebook and other sites.
  • Solo ads and banner ads
  • Put you website in your email signature file. (Surprising how many don’t)
  • Post flyers or business cards on local bulletin boards and at businesses.

Join Forums: Takes time but create long lasting links and potential leads.
Reply or comment on forums. Get your name recognized. Make useful and helpful comments. Your name links back to your website. Some sites even allow a signature file after each post or comment. Mini advertising spaces.

Join Social media: Short term and a drain on time but you can generate leads.
Again take your time a build yourself up here. Don’t just spam your followers with links to products. Build a relationship. If you follow someone, comment on their posts. If you take the time they in turn will see you and not your posts and soon they will be following you in a like manner. If you focus your attention somewhere and it develops a trust then you are more likely to get a lead and a conversion.

The biggest danger to social media is getting lost in the event. Go in and focus on a few posts and get out otherwise you could spend a few hours with nothing to show for it.

Create a product and give it away: This takes both time and money but it gets the leads.
Get your brand noticed. E-books are great giveaways. Litter your affiliate links in the e-books and set them free to be passed virally. A good choice.

The downside is you may generate leads that just want free stuff.

Email: Daily emails seem to be the way to go.
Keep them entertained and give good quality content and you’ll get leads and conversions. Like social media email give you the opportunity to build trust and authority but unlike social media you can’t get lost in email. Use your website to gather email addresses with opt-in boxes.

Don’t SPAM. Enough said about that.

Answer emails swiftly. If someone asks you something about an email you sent then answer quickly or you may loose that lead.

That is how to generate leads. Well at least a few good ideas. Luckily there are far more ways to generate leads than listed here.

After a career as a professional musician and band leader in the Miami South Florida Area I decided to see if I could make some money with this new internet thing. After years of trial and error I started to get the hang of it and now I am completely financially independent because of my various online businesses. The goal of this blog is to chronicle my continued marketing experiences. I focus on real examples of what works and what does not work. Google does not give us a recipe for getting our sites ranked. We have to use our own experiences to see what actually works rather than theory. I hope you enjoy the blog. Please let us know what you think in the comments area. We appreciate your feedback.
