How To Use Squidoo For Affiliate Marketing

I have been experimenting with a number of seo techniques to promote my classified ad submission service classifiedsubmissions.com. I like to see what actually works myself rather than take somebody else’s word for it. As of now, for the terms, classified ad submission service, I have 5 of the ten listings on the first page of Google, 7 out of 10 on the second page of Google natural search listings, and 7 out of 10 on the 3rd page of Google natural listings.

So many people talk about getting a number 1 listing on Google which is, of course, just fine. However, what about dominating the entire first 10 pages of Google search for your keywords? Wouldn’t this be better? The truth is that search engine rankings change all the time. Sometimes you will be number 1, sometimes number 10. I find it is good to have a number or properties which promote your site all competing together for top ranking this way you always have multiple listings.

Because Of Squidoo’s Popularity Often Your Squidoo Page Will Outrank Your Main Website

One technique is to create Squidoo lenses around your topic. Squidoo is a very highly ranked web 2.0 property which allows you to publish your original content. It works with modules, you have text modules, video modules, social media modules and more. You must have completely original content, it cannot be copy and pasted content from other sources. Because Squidoo is so popular a Squidoo page will most likely outrank your own website.

Here is my Squidoo page that was created for the keyword terms “Classified Ad Submission Service.'” Right now it is ranked #3 on Google for those keywords. You can use Squidoo to promote any program or website within their TOS. I would like to suggest that you do what I have done and use Squidoo to promote the classified ad submission service affiliate program here. The program pays recurring commissions. This means that if somebody signs up and stays a customer for one year you will receive commission every month. Last month was my first payout. See the results here.

So if you are going to promote an affiliate program you might as well promote a program which is not only a great seller but pays recurring commissions. If you are going to use Squidoo to promote the classifiedsubmissions.com affiliate program here is what you do:

1. Sign up for the affiliate program for free here.

2. Get banners, videos, and promo material here.

3. Sign up for Squidoo here.

4. Start building a Squidoo lens from their online interface. I did not build my own Squidoo lens. I hired somebody for $5. to do it for me. If you want to hire somebody to create a Squidoo lense for you I recommend this person.

Remember, you cannot just copy what I did. Your content must be completely original. You can re-write my material but if it is copy and pasted Squidoo will not accept it. For $5. you can just give my guy my webpages, affiliate tools page, Squidoo page, with keywords and let him do all the work.

Put Your Keywords In The Title Of Your Squidoo Lens

Tip 1- Put your keywords directly in the title. The search engines really look at titles. So decide which keyword you are going to go after and put that directly at the beginning of the title.

Use Your Squidoo Lens Link In The Description Of Your Videos For Extra Traffic

Tip 2- Once your Squidoo page is created, download this video and hire this guy to upload your video to 35 video hosting sites with your link to your Squidoo lens at the beginning of the description. Make sure to write a keyword rich description and title for your videos. This will give your Squidoo lens extra traffic and push it even further to the top of the search engine listings. Now you have a property which will keep bringing you traffic for free promoting an affiliate program which pays recurring commissions. The entire technique is free is you do it yourself or at most it will cost you $10. if you hire somebody. Much success! It is working or me!

After a career as a professional musician and band leader in the Miami South Florida Area I decided to see if I could make some money with this new internet thing. After years of trial and error I started to get the hang of it and now I am completely financially independent because of my various online businesses. The goal of this blog is to chronicle my continued marketing experiences. I focus on real examples of what works and what does not work. Google does not give us a recipe for getting our sites ranked. We have to use our own experiences to see what actually works rather than theory. I hope you enjoy the blog. Please let us know what you think in the comments area. We appreciate your feedback.
